Info title Employee Information Key Fields Field Description Substance/Agent This information is prepopulated from the Chemical selected in Sample Details Lab Amount This is the amount the lab extracts from the sample. Units are standardized. Lab Concentration This is the result generated from the Lab based on the Sample Volume. Sample Result This is the Lab Concentration applying any adjustment based on Exposure Time.
If number is different, user must have selected “No” to the question “Was there potential exposure beyond the sample portion of the shift” in the Sample Activity Details.
OEL / Adjusted OEL OEL : The OEL will be pre-populated from the Chemical Library and will be based on the Lowest define limit as established by either ACGIH, Country Limit or State / Province Limit.
i. If there is no display of a limit, it is not available and the system will not be able to compare results.
Adjusted OEL : – If sampling based on a shift other than an 8 hour shift, user has the abilty to adjust the OEL Limit. This is based on a field in the Sample Activity details section called “Analyte OEL Adjustment”.If user selects “Yes” and chooses “Daily Shift Adjustment”, the system will calculate down the OEL value based on a 10 or 12 hour shift.
Detection Limit User will be required to add the numeric value and the corresponding units. Detection Code Options are to leave blank or select less than “<”. If value is “<”, the assumption is the Lab Amount was less than the detectible limit. This will also impact the mixture calculation if the sample is for multiple chemicals. The analyte with “<” will not count against the Mixture formula. Category The Sample Result will be compared against the Adjusted OEL Value. The following criteria has been established:
1. Less than (<) 50% of the Action Limit < Action Level Green
2. Equal to or Greater than (≧) 50% and less than 100% > Action Level Yellow
3. ≧100% Limit with proper PPE in use Over Standard Orange
4. ≧100% Limit Insufficient PPE in use Over Exposure RedInfo title Lab Details Field Description Lab Name The lab is required but should be pre-configured by the IH Corporate Team. Lab Analyst Lab Analist name should be mentioned. Lab Sample Id Required and refers to the Sample ID that the Lab uses Date Received Date in which the Lab Received the Physical Sample(s) Date Analyzed Date in which the Lab Analyzed the Sample (s) Analytical Methods The method is required but should be pre-configured by the IH Corporate Team. Lab Comments If any comments are there. those are to be filled here Info title Sample CIH Information Field Description CIH Approval / Invalidation User must have permission set to Approve or Invalidate. Sample Approved Fields Approved Date Date when the Sample was approved. Approved By Picklist will be based on system users. Corrective Action Required ? If Sample is an “Over Exposure” Classification, then Corrective Action box will default to checked. If box is checked a default Corrective Action will be created. Sample Invalidated Fields Invalidated Date Date when the Sample was approved. Invalidated By Picklist will be based on system users. Comment The invalidated comment is required but should be pre-configured by the IH Corporate Team. Corrective Action Required ? Not applicable for invalidated samples and will be grayed out.
