Previous State Existing System :
- System did not provide the users the flexibility to associate multiple risk ratings to a single risk assessment.Hence ,the Manage Risk Assessment screen showed the column names of only the initial and final risk ratings
Enhanced StateSystem :
- System has been upgraded to provide the users to add any number of risk ratings to a hazard.
- Hence the column names of the risk ratings has been upgraded to initial and residual risk rating.
- If there is are multiple risk ratings performed for a hazard then the latest rating would be termed as the residual rating and the score of the residual rating would display under the residual rating column
- Example : John Smith performs risk rating for Hazard "Spill ,Trip ,Fall," and determined on 23rd March 2018 then the risk rating score to be 50 (critical value) .On 25th March 2018,John Smiths performs the second risk rating to this hazard during which he observes the rating to be at a level of 40 (high). Thus ,on 25th March he enters the value for the second risk rating at 40.Then again ,further on 30th March 2018 he performs the third risk assessment on the same hazard and observes that the risk now has fallen to a level of 20 (low). With respect to this example the difference between the previous and enhanced states of the application can be summarized as below :
- In the previous state the user would be able to capture the risk ratings performed only on 23rd March 2018 and 30 March 2018 which will be termed as initial and final respectively.System did not provide the flexibility to capture the intermediate risk rating that was done on 25th march .Capturing this intermediate rating value is important as this would provide the trail of how the risk value was reduced over a period of time through implementation of controls and associated action items.
- In the enhanced state the users would be able to capture all the risk ratings done on all the three days of 23rd March 2018,23rd March 2018 and 30th March 2018.System would enable the users to perform, associate and keep trail of all the risk ratings that have been done for the hazard over any period of time.
