MP-8573: Ability to report Near Miss Incident from mobile by scanning QR Code
Configurable: Yes
- Title: NA
- Public/Private: NA
- Default: NA
Existing System:
- As of now users who are aware of Mobile Pro app and have it configured in their mobile device can report the Near Miss incident with ease. However, for a new user, it’s really difficult to find out the app and report a Near Miss incident.
Purpose:
- Need to provide option for Admins to print and paste QR code in their facility so that anyone can scan it using their mobile device with a scanner which will give them a link to tap on and report a Near Miss incident.
Enhanced System:
- When user scans the QR code with any scanner, they will get a link to tap on. Once the link is tapped, following behavior is expected:
In case the app is installed in the device and active in the background -> User will be redirected to the Near Miss Reporting screen (with 'Near Miss' incident type selected by default). User will be land on the default location based on the 'Near Miss' Report Incident permission.
In case the app is installed in the device but not active in the background -> User will be redirected to the Login Page and upon successful login, navigates to the 'Near Miss' Reporting page (Incident Type selection page with 'Near Miss' selected by default)
In case the app is installed in the device but a mandatory app upgrade is missing -> User will be prompted to update the app. In this case, user will have to scan the QR Code once again after updating the app.
In case the app is not installed in the mobile device -> User will be redirected to the App store. In this case, user will have to scan the QR Code once again after configuring the app.
This will support both online and offline modes.
