Document Owners and Document Coordinators can utilize the Check In / Check Out feature to revise and collaborate on documents that are in either Draft status or Rejected status.

Step-by-step instruction:

  1. Click on the Documents icon.
  2. Click on the Document Management menu item.
  3. Click on the Manage Documents menu item.

 


4. To check out a document select the ellipsis next to the document that needs to be checked out. Then select Check Out from the menu.



5. The document will automatically download and a Lock icon next to the document title will indicate that the document is locked from being checked out by another user .




6. Once the user is ready to check the document back in, they can select Check In from the ellipsis menu. 



7. After selecting Check In menu item from the drop down, a pop displayed with a message You are about to Check In. Others will now be able to edit. Click on the Continue button.



8. Select the file from the system and click on the Upload button.
