Users will be able to create a new IH sample.
Business Rules
- Users will need to have the appropriate IH Role and Scope for the Sample being created.
- Samples can only be created at a specific Location
- Depending on the specific Company business rules, the selection of certain fields may or may not be mandatory.
Step-by-step Instructions:
Creating a Planned IH Sample:
- Click on the Modules icon.
- Click on the Industrial Hygiene menu item.
- Click on the Create New Sample menu item.
Click on the Create Blank Sample.
- Complete all the fields
- Click on the Save button.
| Sample Types | Description |
|---|---|
| Planned Samples | A sample that belongs in a Sample plan. This can either be done for baseline/periodic. Planned Sample will receive credit against the Facility Sample Plan. |
| Diagnostic Samples | Not tied to/counted against any Sample plans. |
| Field Blank Samples | These are necessary for Chemical Samples and can also be created once a planned/diagnostic sample has been created. |
| Copy Existing Sample | Allows user to make a copy of an already existing sample. |

- All required fields (*) must be completed in the 3 subsections in order to save the Sample Details
- Sample Information Section - Key Fields
Fields Description IH Log Automatically generated by IH Module Sample ID Field is mandatory and allows person to capture any unique information with the sample. Sample Date Date of the Sample

- The Sample type Direct monitoring Employee known is replaced with Direct Read Instrument
- A new equipment as Direct Read Instrument is created under Additional IH Equipment under module set up
- If user selects Direct Read Instrument as Sample Type ,then system will pull and display Direct Read Instrument from Additional IH Equipment.The field will grey out
- It would be functioning the same as Direct Monitoring /Direct Monitoring Employee known as before and would have same sections
- Sample Sections for Direct Read Instruments - Sample Details ,Employee details ,Sample Equipment ,Controls ,Sample Result ,Root Causes,Action Item ,Attachments ,Send Mail Audit Trail
19.1 Update
- For Direct Read Instrument Contractor option to appear in application similar to Air Monitoring
- On selecting Contractor , a comment section to appear in Sample Equipment Information in Application
- Contractor option would also appear in Sample Import Utility for Diread Read Instrument . Similar to Air monitoring if Direct Monitoring Equipment ID is not selected ,then on uploading it will select contractor option in application
