Sample plans allow users to track:

  • The number of sample records associated with each sample plan
  • The number of planned and collected sample
  • The approval status of the sample plan


Step-by-step Instructions: 

Creating a Sample Plan:

  1. Click on the Modules icon.
  2. Click on the Industrial Hygiene menu item.
  3. Click on the Create New Sample Plan menu item.



  4. Complete the fields.
  5. Click on the Save button.




  6. Click on the Ok button on the confirmation window.

Adding an Associated Sample Plan Record:

After saving the Sample Plan and clicking Ok on the confirmation button, users will be redirected to the Sample Plan Dashboard Summary screen. The steps below is following the Creating a Sample Plan

Users may also access an existing Sample Plan to continue.  


  1. Click on the Add button located to the right of Associated Sample Plan Record section.



  2. Complete the Sample Plan Record Details
  3. Click on the Save button. 

  4. Click Ok on the confirmation window.

Associated Sample Plan Record Fields

Sample Plan Record IDSystem Generated. Read-Only field
Similar Exposure Group (SEG)Optional field used to identify members of a large work group doing a similar job and are exposed to similar risks, data from a small sample of workers can be used to predict the exposure of the whole group.
Department*Department/Function. Mandatory field. Configurable. 
Work Area or Production Line*Mandatory field. Configurable.
Task*

Activity performed. Mandatory field. Configurable. 

Job Classification(s) or Title(s)*Mandatory field. Configurable. 
Baseline / Prior Results*

Users will be able to select the following list: 

Mandatory field.

Task Classification*Mandatory field.  This field helps identify if the task is a Routine vs. Non-routine. 
Duratiion TypeOptional field used to identify the duration of exposure type.
Hazard Type*Users can select from Chemical/Panel or Physical. Mandatory field. 
ChemicalOptional field used to select the chemicals. 
PanelOptional field used to select the panel. 
Group size (N=)*Enter the number of people in the group. Mandatory field. 
Exposure Group DescriptionOptional  text field to enter in any addtional information about the exposure group. 
Summary SectionThe Summary fields will automatically populate from the provided data. This is a read-only field and does not require any user entry.
