New and Improved Features



PMP-43889  Import Sample to  have survey name 

Configurable Setting: Show /Hide . Private 

Default :Hide , Customer Specific

Existing System:

  • In the last version a new field Survey was added in Sample Details page but was not added in Import Sample .

Purpose : For bulk sample import the user were not able to enter the survey name for the samples 

Enhanced  System:

  • Survey Name field will be added in the all the sample import templates 
  • Sample Import templates in System :
    • Sample import - Noise].
    • Sample Import - Chemical
    • Sample Import - Continuous Operating Pump
  • Two survey name  in any Sample import can be same 
  • Position - Next to Sample ID in the Sample Import Template
  • Max field size of the field is 50 characters accepting Number ,alphabets,alphanumeric ,special character and space
  • Existing Data :Survey field would appear blank for historical records
  • Impact :Sample List ,Edit Sample Details ,IH Query Report ,IH Summary Report,Manage Sample grid fields to have Survey name

PMP-39118 Add help link/question sign next to the sample equipment field 

Configurable Setting: Show / Hide .Private 

Default : Hide ,Customer Specific

Existing System:

  • There was no information on existing Sample equipments  in system in the interface

Purpose : User do not have detailed  information on samples while creating a sample

Enhanced  System:

  • For Chevron a, Question Mark  (?) symbol beside sample equipment field,on clicking it would open a downloadable PDF having the file contents as mentioned below 
  • It will not appear for product
  • File type  - PDF 
  • File Name : Sample Types in ProcessMAP – IH Tool
  • Existing Data :Would appear for all historical records 
  • Impact :No

 PMP-43846 COC for Split Sample PDF

Configurable Setting: No configuration .Product wide change

Existing System: 

  • Split Sample in Chain of Custody is distinguished in COC Excel but there was no way to differentiate in PDF

Purpose :Lab user  gets confused when they have the COC with two samples shown with the exact same sample number

Enhanced  System:

  • Split sample is labelled separately as A,B,C beside IH Log No for COC PDF
  • This is a product level change 
  • Existing Data :Would appear for all historical records 
  • Impact :No

 PMP-45048 Environment condition to be limited to chemical sample only

Configurable Setting: No configuration .Product wide change

Existing System: 

  • Environment condition appeared for both Physical and Chemical Samples

Purpose : Environment condition is captured for Chemical Samples only and doesnt add any relevance to Physical Sample

Enhanced  System:

  • Environmental condition would appear only in chemical sample and should not appear in Physical sample
  • Existing Data :Would appear for all historical records ,data correction is done
  • Impact :No

 PMP-45207 Direct Read Instrument

Configurable Setting: No configuration .Product wide change

Existing System:

  • System had Direct monitoring Employee known and only Direct Monitoring as Sample 

Purpose :The terminology for both confused the users 

Enhanced  System:

  • The Sample type Direct monitoring Employee known is replaced with Direct Read Instrument
  • A new equipment as Direct Read Instrument is created under Additional IH Equipment under module set up 
  • If user selects Direct Read Instrument as Sample Type ,then system will pull and display Direct Read Instrument from Additional IH Equipment.The field will grey out
  • It would be functioning the same as Direct Monitoring /Direct Monitoring Employee known as before and would have same sections
  • Sample Sections for Direct Read Instruments - Sample Details ,Employee details ,Sample Equipment ,Controls ,Sample Result ,Root Causes,Action Item ,Attachments ,Send Mail Audit Trail
  • Existing Data :No Impact 
  • Impact : Similar to Direct Monitoring ,Direct Read Instrument will appear in following areas
    • Application - Manage Sample Grid , Sample Dashboard Summary heading ,Sample Equipment
    • Reports - IH Query ,IH Summary ,Sample Detail Report ,Employee Notification
    • Notification - Sample Result Obtained ,Additional IH Equipment (Alerts & Reminder ) - Direct Read Instrument

 PMP-44931 Employee Notification Letter to be Sent From Notification@processmap.com


Configurable Setting: Business Rule for where notification is  turned on to notification@processmap.com

Default : Business Rule turned off .Customer Specific

Existing System:

  • System shows user name in the "From" field from IH Report Email and sends email from logged in user email id 

Purpose : Emails that are sent from a Customer email using ProcessMAP server are blocked as SPAM/phishing emails so they are not delivered to the user, neither are  in the junk email folder.

Enhanced  System:

  • Custom setting created where  if the notification is on, then the "From" would be notification@processmap.com.
  • If it is off, the notification letter would have the standard setting, and be sent from the system user's email address.
  • Existing Data : No Change
  • Impact : Audit trail in Sample Dashboard

 PMP-44836 Decouple Employee Department in Sample detail

Configurable Setting: No configurable setting .Product Level change

Default :Department under Employee details and Location details are decoupled from one another

Existing System:

  • Department under Employee details and Location details showed department of Employee and were coupled with one another  .

Purpose :Both the field were mapped to a single multilingual translation.Hence making translation for one field applied in both

Enhanced  System:

  • Department under Employee details and Location details are decoupled from one another
  • Its applicable for Blank,Diagnostic,Planned and blank Sample, Sample Import Chemical , Sample Import Noise
  • Location Department is named as "Department"
  • Employee department is named as  "Employee Department"
  • Existing Data : No Change
  • Impact : Sample Details ,Dashboard summary Sample Details ,SOA Grid of Samples

 PMP-48479 Customer Specific Employee Notification Letter Changes

Configurable Setting: Configurable ,Customer Specific

Default : Current Employee Notification Letter 

Enhanced System:

Both Chemical and noise notification

  • Control comments removed 
  • Signature Line,text and employee signature to be removed
  • Data  line that corresponds with the employee signature and the text, date
  • When there are no additional OEL sources to compare against, update the text in the Sample Results summary to read: There are no other OEL sources. Currently it reads: There are no OEL sources

Default : New IH Summary Report

Existing System:

  • Earlier IH Summary was a crystal report  and there were several unused and old fields 

Purpose : Many of the fields displays static information and are hard coded .It needs to pull data dynamically 

Enhanced  System: IH Summary Report is revamped and redesigned in SSRS

Current report will cover the following equipments : Air Monitoring Pump, Passive Monitor, Direct Read Instrument and Noise dosimeter
