PMP- 6580          Upgrade of Question Import tool with provision of additional columns for Question Response Color, Additional Response and Question Child Categories

The question simport tool has been enhanced with the below mentioned provisions in the enhanced application.

Change 1: Response Colors:

  • Users would be able to associate colors to question responses and import the questions.

For example, a preferred response can be defined to have a green color whereas a non-preferred response can be defined to be having red color once selected as a response to the question in the questionnaire. These colors can now be defined in the import template itself.

  • Previously,  such color association was possible only through application. Now it can be done through import tool also.
  • To associate a color to a response, users need to select either the response set or the response colors in the import tool.
  • The “Response set” is defined in the application and each response set has defined responses with response colours. Hence, when the user selects the response set, the colors that are defined in the response set would be imported for the question.
  • Alternatively, the user can also choose to select the colors directly in the Questions Import Template without selecting the response set. (This is in case of direct import without having to create response set in application)
  • In either cases above, the question would be associated with the response color once the import in completed.
  • If the user selects both the response set and the response colors, the preference would be given to the response set and the color values that are selected in the response color columns would not be imported.

Change 2: Maximum number of importable responses with the import tool

  • The number of responses that can be defined has been increased to 10. Based on the configuration, the number of columns would be defined in the template.

For example, if for a particular user the configuration for the display of columns is placed as 3 then the user would be able to import 3 responses via the import tool.

  • The screenshot below depicts the sixth response column for the question.

Change 3: Provision of question subcategory

  • Question subcategory column has been introduced in the import tool.
  • The sub category values will be displayed in the selection dropdown based on the question category selected.
  • Once the question subcategory is selected the question would be linked to the sub category of the question.

In the enhanced state, the templates would be available for viewing even if the users do not have scope to the template location.

For example: If there is a user say, John Smith, with scope to only Sunrise location and there is an audit template created in Westlake location. In enhanced state, John Smith can view the template of Westlake and select it for scheduling an audit.

However the users would be able to edit the template only if the user has edit or delete permission for the template in the template location.

In the enhanced application, all the questions in the questionnaire would not be loaded when the user first clicks on the questionnaire. Questions would be loaded only as the user scrolls the questionnaire. This would reduce the time that the system takes to load the questions as every time the user scrolls, only a small number of questions would be loaded based on user scroll. Also, this would provide the user the ability to associate indefinite number of questions to any question section of the protocol without impacting the time required to load the questionnaire.
