Creating an Encounter
Step-by-step guide
- Click on the Modules icon.
- Click on the Occupational Health menu item.
- Click on the Appointment Central menu item.
- At the Respective Appointment, Click on the Ellipse(
- Click on the Create an Encounter button.
- Click on the Yes button.
Complete all the fields and click on the Save button.
18.2.1 Update
New Encounter Type - Exposure Testing- Blood Analyte Level
- We have introduced a New Encounter Type named- "Exposure Testing- Blood Analyte Level"
- The Exposure Testing- Blood Metal Level encounter type will have the following two tabs-
- Details
- Results
- The details tab will have all the fields and business rules similar to BLL encounter type
- The Encounter Type ID will contain BAL instead of BLL i.e. Location-Year-BAL-Sequence Counter

18.2.1 Update
New Encounter Type - Medical Reports/ Records
- In the enhanced system we have introduced a new encounter type named- "Medical Reports/ Records"
- It contains only one tab- Details
Following are the fields that will be part of details tab-
- Provider Type- it will be a mandatory drop-down field with internal and external as field values
- Provider Name- It will be a mandatory text-box
- Record Type- (will be same as external medical records with additional values- Medical Assessment and Health Analysis)
- Date Report Received - It will be a date picker (mandatory)
- Date of Assessment- It will be a date picker (mandatory)
- Body Part(s)- will be same as external medical records
- Attachment

- Work Related field to be added for External Medical Records encounter type in both detail and listing page.

Create Encounters independent of Appointments
Purpose:
- There are few medical cases where user doesnt go for a appointment .He directly encounters with the healthcare provider
- Here user need not follow the traditional way of creating appointments which is not required for them and is also time consuming
Enhanced System:
- Directly create encounter type in system
- New menu link to create encounter independent of appointment above Appointment Calendar
- Clicking this will take user to Create encounter type page
- User can choose the employee and click Save or Cancel
- On saving it will take to the encounter type details screen. Cancel will close this page and take to Appointment central page
Section 1 :
- List of all encounter types available in the system
- User can choose single or multiple encounter
Section 2 :
- User need to select the employment status , personnel type and select the desired employee
Section 3 :
Would show following fields .For some default values to be saved and hidden in this screen .User can edit in appointment detail
- Date, time – Current date and time
- Visit Reason - "Medical"
- Visit Type - "Office"
- Department - non mandatory product wide
- Healthcare entity - "TBD"
- Healthcare provider -"Health Care Provider" / only if created through Add Encounter , will show this value .Will not appear in Healthcare provider look up as this will be system generated similar to COVID-19 Encounter type
- No appointment notification to be sent for these encounter type creation
- System need to show alert message on double booking of encounter of HCP and employee (similar logic to be applied)
- Link and the page will be driven by Encounter Permission
- Existing Data: NA
- Impacts:
- Appointment Central - To show the appointments with default saved values .User can edit those values if required
- Appointment list - To show the appointments with default saved values .User can edit those values if required
- Employee Medical Profile - To show the appointments with default saved values .User can edit those values if required
- Appointment Calendar - Since this is not a real user ,hence no appointment calendar drop down will show for this user i.e Appintment calendar , HCP look up , Team Roster
- Employee Demographic report - to show appointment with default values
