Air Monitoring Pump Sample

Users will be able to create a Air Monitoring Pump Sample. 

Business Rules

  • Sample details should have been created and saved.
  • Depending on the specific Company business rules, the selection of certain fields may or may not be mandatory.


Step-by-step Instructions:

  1. Click on the Modules icon.
  2. Click on the Industrial Hygiene menu item.
  3. Click on the Create New Sample menu item.



  4. Click on Create Diagnostic Sample

  5. Click on the Air Monitoring Pump under Sample Equipment
      


  6. Complete the Sample Details.  (Refer to the Sample Details Information for more details.)

  7. Click on the Save button.

    Increase the sample Overwrite time field limit to Max 7 digits allowable

    Sample TypesDescription
    Planned Samples A sample that belongs in a Sample plan. This can either be done for baseline/periodic. Planned Sample will receive credit against the Facility Sample Plan. 
    Diagnostic SamplesNot tied to/counted against any Sample plans.
    Field Blank SamplesThese are necessary for Chemical Samples and can also be created once a planned/diagnostic sample has been created. 
    Copy Existing SampleAllows user to make a copy of an already existing sample.



  9. Sample Details Information

    • All required fields (*) must be completed in the 3 subsections in order to save the Sample Details 
    • Sample Information Section - Key Fields
      FieldsDescription
      IH LogAutomatically generated by IH Module
      Sample IDField is mandatory and allows person to capture any unique information with the sample.
      Hazard TypeHas an impact of future sections of the application, so appropriate selection is necessary. Upon saving these selections, user will not be able to make any changes to the Hazard Type.
      Sample EquipmentThe equipment selection will define additional information required as part of collecting the sample. Upon saving these selections, user will not be able to make any changes to the Hazard Type.
      Duration TypeThis field will determine applicable Limit Value when comparing sample result.

    This is the department/area that is being sampled. This field is managed in the Location Profile.

    These fields are not required, but are available for pre-population for Planned Samples.

  10. Employee Information Key Fields

    Personnel Type

    There are 2 options for selection that will pull from a pre-populated list: 

    • Employee
    • Supervised Contract Employee

    If user selects Unsupervised Contract Employee, then the user will be required to enter the details for this personnel Type.

    Employee NameRequired field.
    DepartmentRefers to the department/area that the employee is affiliated.
