Creating Qualitative Assessment

Qualitative assessments are used to evaluate the risk of various stressors in a department and determine the suggested number of samples which should be taken.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Click on the Modules icon.
  2. Click on the Industrial Hygiene menu item.
  3. Click on the Create New Assessment menu item.


    Complete all the fields and Click on the Save button. 





  4. Employee Information Key Fields

    FieldDescription
    Assessment IDID of the Assessment
    Assesment Name/TitleName of the Assessment
    Data Performed/Scheduled(start)Performed/Scheduled of the assessment date 
    Similar Exposure Group(SEG)

    It is a group of employees who work in the same area and can be established by location administrators

    Department Refers to the department/area that the employee is affiliated.
    Work Area or Product LineThese fields are not required, but are available for pre-population for Planned Samples.
    Task (Column / Bay)These fields are not required, but are available for pre-population for Planned Samples.
    Job Classification(s) or Title(s)These fields are not required, but are available for pre-population for Planned Samples.
    Task ClassificationThese fields are not required, but are available for pre-population for Planned Samples.
    Group Size (N=)Size (No of Employees) of the Group
    Assessment Description / SummarySummary of the Assessment
    Assessor / Assessment TeamTeam Members that worked on this assessment has to be selected from the picklist
    StatusStatus of the Assessment weather it is Opened or Closed.

    19.1 Update

    • For Qualitative Risk Assessment on selecting the SEG it would pull the associated hazard (both chemical and physical ) and display in associated Stressor list section .
    • It should display Stressor Name ,Hazard Type and Health Effect Rating

    • Duration Type field to be added below group size (applicable at product level) 
    • Field values: Select,TWA ,STEL ,Ceiling ,Excursion,Surface wipe,Other,bulk samples,Qualitative wipe samples,Continuous Operating pump
    • Associated stressor details to Show OEL value ,unit of measure and OEL source of a chemical (configurable)
    • These values will be pulled from Group chemical library of chemical module 
    • Applicable for chemical stressor only 
    • Would appear in Associated stressor Listing.



  5. 19.1 Update

    • SEG is available in add /edit pages of Qualitative Risk Assessment ,Sample Plan Record and Sample
