PMP-47279  Create Sample revamp and redesign

Default :No Configuration

Existing System:

To create a Sample ,user would need to complete the following steps in the application 

  • 1.Page 1(Create new Sample) : User can create Sample : Planned ,diagnostic,copy,blank
  • 2.Page 2 (Sample Details ) : 
    Steps :
    Select hazard type 
    Select hazard
    Select Sample Type 
    Select Sample Equipment 
    Other mandatory fields and save sample





Purpose : 

  • User need to go through more than single interface and perform number of steps to create a Sample .
  • It consumed times ,increase mouse clicks and navigation degrades user experience
  • Lot of  human errors  and  incorrect data entry 

Enhanced  System:

  • As per the new design user will be able to perform multiple actions in single interface through Create sample page 
  • In create sample page : user can create different sample type and choose relevant equipment in a single interface .
  • Selecting specific equipment : EX - Lighting Sample 
  • System will auto populate relevant fields in Sample detail page specific to the sample type ,thus avoiding human errors 
  • Existing Data :No change to existing data
  • Impact :Create New Sample ,Sample Details page

Workflow

 Create New Sample -Diagnostic Sample (Default) 

Sample Details page on clicking Lighting button

Create New Sample -Planned Physical /Chemical Sample

PMP-47511 Apply Exposure Correction Factor based on PPE used 

Configurable Setting: Applicable / Not Applicable .Private 

Default : Not Applicable ,Customer Specific

Existing System:

IH module didn't had an exposure correction factor based on PPE used. Covanta would like to adjust the Chemical Sample Result to provide a new calculated result that applies the correction factor based on the PPE used.

Purpose :Calculate the Chemical Result considering the exposure correction factor through PPE 

Enhanced  System:

  • Module Setup -PPE : Each PPE would have unique protection factor 
  • Sample Control :These PPE values would appear on selecting the PPE in Sample Control .Among all the protection factor system would take PPE with maximum value .
  • Sample Result : In Sample result section sample result is divided by the protection factor and would be named as exposure result .It will be a grey/read only field
  • The Result Category will be determined by comparing the Sample result only as previous .This would not change and would be applicable for  Air Monitoring pump and Passive Monitor only
  • If PPE is not selected in control ,the in activity Protection factor will be marked as 1 and in Sample result the exposure result will be same as sample Result
  • Existing Data :
  • Module Set up PPE : Apply Protection Factor field would be default to No
  • Sample Control : For approved sample or edit and old record ,protection factor for existing PPE will show 1 and for approved sample it wont be change .For rest it can be changed and after save only the latest protection factor value would appear
  • Sample Result  : exposure result in sample details will show blank
  • Impacts :
  • Reports : IH Summary Report ,Employee Notification Letter,IH Query Report
  • Notification : Sample Approved ,Result Obtained

Before saving the controls ,the protection factor value would appear 1 .After saving the associated Protection factor value would appear

 PMP-41517 New values added to Task Classification drop down

Default : Routine,Non Routine ,Turnaround .Customer Specific -New values Added other than default values

Existing System

  • Task Classification drop down shows has three values -routine,non routine ,turn around only

Purpose : Customer would require additional  task classification values in drop down 

Enhanced  System:

  • New values added to task classification drop down in QRA ,Sample Plan Record and Sample Details page
  • The new values are configured in database as below .Upcoming version these values can be configured in the application interface
